Gakushuu manga (学習 漫画, literally translated as “learning manga”, or ‘manga to learn’) are titles created with a focus on imparting factual, educational knowledge through the medium of manga.
These gakushuu manga works differ from the usual entertainment-oriented titles which are usually published in mangazines, the avant-garde titles that experiment with the medium, or the bestseller titles which almost always get adapted into anime or other media.

The Manga Guide series/マンガでわかる (manga de wakaru, or “Understand with manga”)

Although many titles in the Manga Guides series have been officially translated into English (pictured above), many more are only available in Japanese and other East Asian languages (i.e., Chinese, Korean, Taiwanese), and are listed on the website of Omsha ltd (a Science & Engineering publisher).
