It’s a way for me to practice using the embed feature of Notion 🤭 while also making this blog more fanciful and personalised by expressing my own taste in music and media.
Ideally, ambient music should be be instrumental (otherwise the dialogue will interfere with one’s thoughts) and not too fast paced, but that’s my own opinion.
As you might glean from these inclusions, my musical preferences are HEAVILY BIASED towards Japanese media. Perhaps it’s due to the interactive nature of computer/videogames that Japan often produces, wherein players’ actions are accompanied by sonorous and evocative soundtracks to suit the moment, that I associate these songs with sustained mental effort and hence deem them appropriate for study ambience. Also, the melodious nature of Japanese music makes for memorable tunes.
